Guy Shoots Lightning Out of His Hands

When it comes to electricity, it's current (as opposed to voltage) that will really do you in. Still, half a million volts isn't too shabby. An electric chair, by comparison, puts out under 30,000. So the fact that this guy willingly (joyfully, even) shocks himself with more than fifteen times that lethal amount means that he's either crazy, has a great Faraday suit, or some sick combination of the two. This brief but electrically ominous video comes to us courtesy of Jyynx Productions and our favorite Tesla Coil musicians Arc Attack.

The Ultimate New York Rangers Game Marriage Proposal Fail

UPDATED! FAKE!!!

From the New York Daily News:
In fact, a source said Monday, it was an inside joke cooked up by game-presentation staff and carried out by paid actors who are, in real life, engaged.
The 18,198 in the Garden, and at least one newspaper beat writer? Those were the patsies.
The Valentine's Day hoax went off during the second period of the Rangers' 5-2 win over Tampa Bay, when the scoreboard showed the jersey-wearing actors beside a graphic saying that "Nick" was asking "Melissa" to be his "Blueshirt Bride" - after which a stunned-looking "Melissa" shook her head and left while an even more stunned buzz swept through the Garden crowd.
"I didn't know if it was staged or not," said center Erik Christensen, who scored twice in quick succession with the crowd still stirring over the rejection.
Among those taken in by the poor fakery: Huffington PostMichael Obernauer, the Rangers writer for the Daily News; GothamistDeadspin.
Who smelled a hoax from the beginning? Busted Coverage, among a few others.
